A note about my title: It's derived from the phrase "Driving While Black", which is derived from "driving while intoxicated." "Driving While Black" refers to African Americans who are pulled over by the police simply because of their color, as if it is a crime. While it isn't as dire a social issue, Dating While Fat does sometimes feel like a crime, if I go by some of the responses I get online. Thus this space to rant, discuss, heal.
